Bojour! (I think) this is going to be one white knuckle ride, so hold on! First of all, I'll go over my critiquing methods etc etc, and not leave any questions unanswered. I will give it a simple skim over, highlighting faults, and positives. Then I'll go into your use of formal elements, and if they have been used, if so, how well they've been used. The initial image to me, seems like a very cold image, due to your use of the blue/violet tones. (I'll go into this more in my formal elements part) I (persoanlly) think you've gone for the entire Bokeh effect, now this isn't bad, but when you don't know what you're looking at, it seems to put me off as a viewer, I mean, the main thing in focus is a small flower thing in the right bottom corner, this forces the eye to find it, maybe try and make this pop out a little more? It just seems like a blurry Bokeh image with no real subject. I don't know if you intended for it to be like this or not.
Formal Elements Rule of Thirds (RoT) The main thing on your RoT line is on the right vertical line, is the flower thing, this also becomes a cross section on the right bottom horizontal line.
Line Other than all the flower lines, I can't say there is any distinctive lines, I really should write something longer for this section, but I can't pick up on any other lines. So, yeah, sorry.
Shape As the bokeh is used, it crates multiple circles, these are the main shapes that appeal to the viewers eyes, and Bokeh is becoming a very big thing in the region of photography
Form There is a lot of depth used, this gives the images layers. And appeals more to the viewers eye.
Texture I'd love to say there is a lot of texture used, but due to your Depth of Field - there isn't much texture, I suppose that the main focal flower has a little bit of texture, but nothing major.
Pattern
Main recurring pattern I see here, is the stalks, they give the picture structure, somewhere the eyes can lead around.
Colour
The main colour themes here is, like I said, blues hues, and violet. As we're nearing winter I thought this was quite well done, some might mistake the Bokeh as snow, I like what you've done with the colour here .
My Ratings Vision As I said earlier, I liked the theme of your colours relating to the cold, winter, snow etc etc. So I thought this deserved 3.5 stars
Originality I see things like this on dA very often now, a load of Bokeh, no apparent subject, and a large depth of field. Sorry, only two stars here.
Technique Ehh, what can I say, I can't see the meta-data here, so I can't fully comment - But I doubt much camera magic went into this? A low aperture, low ISO and medium shutter speed. Then you tinkered about with it in photoshop or something similar to that program. Maybe a long shutter speed with a flash popped? Giving it a ghostly effect? Two and a half stars.
Impact The main impact here is the colours, I personally think you've captured/edited the picture very well. Three and a half, well done.
Conclusion It needs work in the technique area, but in the editing area you've got it dot on! Well done.
This image instills a sense of warmth not uncharacteristic of inspiring photos. The quote loosely translated as " You see, I have not forgotten the song that you used to sing to me" is superb, accompanied with this image. However its great sensory notes ultimately fall short of impressive because it has been done before. Recall the beloved children's story, "Anastasia" popularized in film. Yes, even with that in mind it is impressive, the combination of a great shot(the photo) along with is musicality and stunning colors, provides a great story like quality. Absolutely fantastic. Breakdown: Vision- Amazing Originality- Lacking, but the impact is impressive. Technique- Good. Although I would have liked to see more foliage in focus. Impact- It speaks for itself --
